PEOPLE

The Well-Being Economy:

how to increase the well-being of citizens and expand economic growth.

How much is the famous GDP able to measure the real economic well-being of a country and how much instead represents an outdated indicator of economic growth as an end in itself?

The OECD itself has admitted that GDP measures profit but not equality, evaluates growth but not the distribution of wealth and ignores values such as social cohesion and the environment. It is not a question of abstract or immaterial concepts, but of foundations on which to build a new, more just and richer society, from every point of view.

It is therefore time to make room for the Well-Being Economy, that kind of economy which together with growth, places the real needs of the planet and the human beings that populate it at the center of its thoughts.

How can we make this happen? And how can we make it become part of the economic culture of most developed countries?

We will find it out together in this conference.
